Your Account Manager is your portal into the DPOD production facility, and they manage
everything to do with your job from what we affectionately call “Mission Control”.
Pretty soon, our customers will have direct access to the same system, but for now, let’s have
a quick look at what your Account Manager does from Mission Control:
Quotes:
Your specifications are entered into the system and comes back with an immediate price. No
waiting for estimators – all quoting is done by your Account Manager.
Just email your details and you’ll have a quote back promptly. If you’re in a real hurry for a
quote, then just phone us and ask for it to be done while you wait.
File preparation:
Your Account Manager can take your PDF file and process it directly to RIP using a part of the
system called “Speedflow”. The files are automatically checked, assessed, then laid up and
prepared for the press operator to work with directly.
Job Preparation:
At the time of quoting we’ll try to get as much information from you as possible, right down to
packing and delivery instructions in order to give you an accurate price.
Once you’ve approved the quote and it becomes a ‘job’ this information that we captured then
gets carried across to the job, along with any additional information that you may want to add.
Once the job hits the factory floor, every department that handles your job will refer to
“Mission Control” for instructions on what to do and how to do it.
Tip – Many of our clients like us to send jobs directly to their own client.
Simply specify when placing your job that you want non-dpod branded packaging and
specify the delivery address. You can also specify that you want samples sent to your own address.
